PARENTS

There are times in our life when again we meet.
Each of those moments resonate the scale of time.
Gifts are exchanged.
Parents show us what life is about,
while we give them some sense to theirs.
Dear friends, when our parents depart
we too die of their farewell,
only to come to birth anew -
so that through our acts
and through our love
they remain alive.
